About this module
This module introduces the key principles and practical steps for managing psychosocial hazards and risks in the workplace under South Australian work health and safety laws.Â
It is designed to help employers, managers, and workplace leaders understand what psychosocial hazards are, why they matter, and how to manage them using a structured, risk‑based approach.
This course will take approximately 3 hours to complete.  
You can pick up where you left at any time. 
Learning Outcomes
At the completion of this module, you will be able to:
- Explain what a psychosocial hazard is.
- Understand the benefits of managing psychosocial hazards and risks in the workplace.
- Identify who has duties within the workplace for psychosocial health and safety.
- Understand the 4-step approach to managing psychosocial risks.
- Recognise some actions that your workplace can take to address psychosocial hazards and risks, and the free tools and resources available to assist.

This module is designed for employers, managers, supervisors, and workplace leaders who have an interest in or responsibilities for work health and safety and for creating psychologically safe workplaces.
It is also relevant for WHS and HR professionals, Health and Safety Representatives, and others who are involved in identifying, assessing, and managing psychosocial hazards and risks in the workplace.
The course is suitable for participants across a range of industries and organisational sizes.
